About Me

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist (Ph.D.), CBT expert, and Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I also write extensively about CBT and related topics. In addition to publishing a book, Mom Brain, I’ve been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Parents.com, Today Parenting, Motherwell, Motherly, Psychology Today, Scary Mommy, and The Week. I’ve also been a guest on a number of popular podcasts as well as on WNYC public radio.

I received my psychology training from Yale University (B.A., Psychology, summa cum laude), Rutgers University (Ph.D., Clinical Psychology), and Montefiore Medical Center (pre-doctoral internship). Prior to starting my own practice, I served as the Assistant Director of the Rutgers Anxiety Disorders Clinic.

Since completing my training, I’ve devoted my career to presenting science-backed treatment strategies in the most user-friendly, accessible manner possible. I care deeply about my patients and work collaboratively with them to ensure that they are receiving the most effective treatment, tailored to their specific needs.

When I’m not in the office, I can usually be found on the sidelines of a sports field somewhere in New Jersey, cheering on one of my two sons. I also love to read, travel, and see as much musical theater as humanly possible.
